In Short – Set in the heart of Boulder's original downtown, this open-air pedestrian mall offers more than just shopping. It hosts a diverse mix of restaurants, galleries, bars, cart vendors and buskers along its 4-block stretch. The tree-lined mall is filled with flowers, wooden benches and sculptures. At the center of it all is the county courthouse, a popular gathering place for jugglers, magicians and musicians who entertain for tips. –
Wonderful

The beautiful atmosphere has much to offer. Sadly, many "big name" stores have come into the Pearl Street Mall but they will never overcome it. There are still many, many stores and kiosks that bring out the boulder roots. You can't get any better than the cool kite shop or the used cd store. And don't forget to stop by the psychic or hand reading tables :)
- Pros: lively, good place for kids, fun
just another mall now

Yes, Pearl Street Mall used to be wonderful. That was before all the big name chains moved in in the last few years. There are still a few little independently owned funky shops, but they are being swallowed up by the yuppie marquees. You might as well go to the giant mall down the turnpike, at least the parking is a little better.

Why wouldn't anyone visiting the Denver area want to venture a few miles North to experience Boulder. There is no better place to get a well rounded glimpse of "The People's Republic of Boulder" than Pearl Street mall. Among the locals and tourists alike, you can sample a wonderful variety of local eateries and shops.
- Pros: Entertaining, Good Shopping, Friendly Environment
- Cons: Lack of Parking
