Good selection of stuff, friendly staff. The Boulder Army Store has been a fixture in town for quite awhile. They carry a good selection of clothing and equipment for the outdoors, and usually have competitive prices. They carry some stuff that you can't find in the big chain stores, and the staff has been pretty helpful when I have asked questions about various items. I keep going back, sometimes just for the funky atmosphere.
