Best sushi in Boulder!. I go to Hapa all of the time when I want sushi in Boulder. They have a really good selection of sushi and it is all really good quality! It isn't ridiculously expensive either, like most places in Boulder. Hapa is always really busy but you don't have to wait long for a table. Plus sitting on their patio and watching people stroll by on Pearl is always a fun experience!! Love it!…
Hapa is a joke!. I went into Hapa on a saturday night with my wife and we were sat near the fronthost stand. There was a short man with glasses arguing with an woman who i am guessing was his wife. I asked our server who he was and he said that the man was Mark, the owner of hape. I was shocked! I just heard this guy drop 2 f-bombs and a few other curse words while arguing over a table time with this woman! I was a good 12 feet away and heard it all. You could tell the hosts were a little uneasy standing next to them. I will NEVER go back to this establishment again. If the owner is that unprofessional in person, than I feel sorry for his staff. I am a chef in Denver and for an owner to act like that in ear shot of guests is ridiculous. Maybe this Mark guy should not be in his own restaraunts!…
Best sushi resturaunt of my life. Great atmosphire, great people, great food
Uninspiring rolls, tries to be hip.. OK for a quick lunch but if you're looking for a special meal, there are much better sushi restaurants in Boulder. All three of the rolls were just variations on the same theme, the crab (krab) was bland, and the unagi was disappointingly dry. I give restaurant 3 stars because the teriyaki bowl my husband had was very nicely prepared and tasty.…
Worse than boxed sushi at the grocery store!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Wow if this is what Boulder thinks is good sushi then I should defiantly open a sushi joint here (and I'm white!). This was by far the worst sushi i have ever had, even worse than the take out stuff from whole foods! Our sushi was full of sinew, short on rice and falling apart when we picked it up. Taste was nothing special either, in fact some of the vegetarian rolls are just plain gross. For 50 bucks for lunch, which was 4 cheap rolls, miso soup, edamame and a sopporo i will never be back. such a rip off, and i agree it is not real sushi, really just dopey college kids trying to roll sushi. Zanmai and Toro are way better bets and are similarly priced.…
