Alice's Restaurant. A romatic and superb dinning experience!. Alice's Restaurant is an amazing dining experience. The rustic cabin, wood floors, pine furniture and stone fireplace are a romatic dream. The 3 course meals are tantalazing, fresh and use organic ingredients. The staff are knowledgable and friendly. My wife and I have been visiting Gold Lake Resort and Alice's Restaurant since 1997 and continue to be impressed with the ambiance, location, food and overall experience. Highly recommended!

Prompt and friendly attention to service. Breathtaking views and tasteful ambiance.. The service at Gold Lake is second to none. The Front Desk Staff is very informative and friendly. The Restuarant staff are very on top of detail. It is a very warm and inviting atmosphere at the resort and especially Alice's Restuarant. The Food created by Chef Ted Mathesius and his staff is incredible. Every sense is aroused. The Lamb is to die for and I loved the smoked trout flat bread. The wine list is very ample as well. The cabins are just as enjoyable. I had a nice hike around Gold Lake and then a wonderful massage at the spa. Then of course off to the hot pools! What a great weekend!

Escape into the Rocky Mountain wilderness for creative American cuisine and an evening of deep-woods romance.. In Short
Scenic canyon roads lead to Gold Lake Resort, home of Alice's Restaurant. With a crackling fire, giant windows, handcrafted log chairs, long group tables and contemporary tableware, the dining room feels both rustic and elegant. Tuscan-style, free-range chicken is a feast with red bliss potatoes, pancetta and rainbow chard. Juicy slices of crispy duck and the wild-tasting venison chop are rich, indulgent affairs.

The scenery alone is worth the drive. My husband and I spent a night at Gold Lake Mountain Resort to celebrate our 5th anniversary. We arrived around 6PM on a Saturday, after a hard day. After checking in we were advised of the free wine tasting - though we were a little late for this, we wer made to feel welcome and at home. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious, though the service could have been more attentive. After a moonlit walk around the lake (bring a flashlight!), we took a dip in one of the hot pools, which we surprisingly had all to ourselves. Very relaxing. The resort is beautiful, cabins are great, and I can't wait to return!!

Romantic. We stayed a weekend at the Gold Lake Resort and dined at Alice's both evenings. Not only was the restaurant location romantic, the cozy ambiance by the fireplace was perfect. The food was incredible and the staff was always friendly and courteous. Alice's is out of the way for most. We highly recommend making the resort a nice weekend getaway.

Incredible!. I was treated to a weekend at Gold Lake Resort & Spa as an Anniversary gift. One of the most wonderful things about the weekend was Alice's. The food was incredible, and when our server offered to serve our coffee and dessert by the fireplace, I was pleasantly surprised. What an elegant, intimate dining experience!
