Overcharged Again. The food at Fortune Cookie is fine. Not the best...they have crappy wonton soup (bad wontons), but they do have good crab cheese wontons. Their entrees are decent enough and much better than the disgusting Colorado Wok in Lafayette. Tonight was my last night at Fortune Cookie, however. I stop ordering delivery a long time ago because she always overcharges, but hadn't had an issue at the restarant until tonight.

Here is what occured...

I go in and order an appetizer and two entrees. It's just me, and I'm coming back from a 5 hr drive so I figure I'll eat there and take a bunch of food back home. The total food cost was $22 before tip. She charged me $28.75. I guess I could mention that I also ordered hot tea, and she gave me some rice to take home. Oh yea, but the rice she gave me for my meal wasn't even enough for one entree. I've been there with two friends, ordered the same amount of food, and have gotten three times that amount of rice without being charged extra. I guess a box of steamed rice, hot tea for one, and tax is seven bucks nowadays right? No, not right. I gave her no tip and told her I was overcharged. How stupid too. I'm probably one of her better customers, eating from there once a week or so. I'm not going back. Don't come to Lafayette for Chinese food.

One of the Best Chinese i've ever had!!. The customer service is awesome my boyfriend was running late and they stayed open so he could pick up the food after they closed! The food is hands down some of the best I've ever had. I love their Kung Pao Chicken. Love it!! fyi the wrong phone number is listed. It is listed inacurately on several sites. Their # is actually.

Great Bargin, Terriffic food!. Excellent take out. The hot and sour soup is very chunky and spicy enough to draw sweat. Try the beef and scallops. Real classy place with cooks who crack me up, they are older and just fit the bill. Not some young punk in the kitchen who never learned how to cook.
