Manager was RUDE!!!!!!!.
We went for afternoon tea and first, it isn't cheap. Second, you get virtually no food and third, the food wasn't great. We had 8 people and they didn't even give us one of each pastry per person. The sandwiches were dry as though they had been sitting out for quite some time. The tea however was quite good.
Our table was not ready when we arrived for our reservation (we were on time). We had 2 babies with us and the manager was visibly annoyed and rude to us about it even though the place was practically empty. She further was annoyed that the adults didn't sit where she instructed us too and she let us know about it.
When we questioned something on our bill, she became visibly angry and shouted at me in the middle of the restaurant in front of my children. She then blocked my way to leave with her person. Classy.
My previous experience was great there but after this, there is no way I would go back.
Comfort foods. Mickey mouse pancakes are da bomb according to my daughter. We love heading down for breakfast but lunch and dinner are really great too. Cozy and warm especially in by the fireplace where they have open mike nights monthly! Perfect for stopping in after dinner for scrumptious pie or cake. HHHMMM GOOD
A great small town Find!.
as a Louisville resident we were thrilled when we discovered the Huckleberry, a unique little restaurant right downtown. We went for breakfast at around 10am, and unfortunately, there was about a half hour wait, but let me tell you, it was completely worth it!
When we were finally seated, we were lucky enough to get a table near the fireplace in an cool, old-timey room, complete with tin ceiling. Our waiter was super nice, albeit a little busy, but he seemed genuinly concerned that we got a good experience. I am a vegetarian and got the veggie benedict, one of the best I've ever had!
My husband got the breakfast burrito, a huge plate full of spicy goodness. My kids loved the wild blueberry flapjacks and the fruit crepe was to-die-for. We will definately be back!
