Mediocre dining experience. It was our first time. I was excited, as I had remembered having very yummy take out a few years back. We were there January 2010. The restaurant was cold, the service was slow and unfriendly, and the food was pretty flavorless. The beef was truly bizarre- rubbery and very fatty. I wouldn't eat there again.

WORST Chinese Food I've had in a long time....... I am fairly new to the Boulder area and am HIGHLY disappointed with my decision tonight to eat at Golden Lotus. With all of the local (and tasteful) restaurants this town has to offer, it surprises me that they are still in business. I should have noticed the first warning sign when I walked in and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant, and no staff appeared to be around. Our server was quick and abrupt, not even pausing for a minute as he rushed to other tables (without even asking us if we wanted something else to drink besides water). The food arrives, which looks mediocre at best and only tastes worse with every bite. Trying to cover my entre with rice didn't even work, and I ended up eating about 1/4 of what I had in front of me, DISPITE how hungry I was. My company and I were ready to leave and had finished our food for a good twenty minutes before the server finally showed up, quickly throwing us the tab with the same complimentary fortune cookies you receive anywhere else. Don't the the prices fool you....the food is SOMEWHAT cheap because it tastes horrible and the service is only worse. I will never again dine at this restaurant, as well as mention it to anyone else except when asked of places to stay away from.

Amazing Chinese Food in Boulder!. I ordered Chinese for our staff because the office team is working so hard. One of the employees said that Golden Lotus was good Chinese. WOW. Everyone loved the authentic food, tender meat, perfect rice - people were planning dinner dates as we ate it and commented on the quality. It was on time. Fair prices. I could not want more from take out! We'll be ordering again, and again... Thank you Golden Lotus!

was not impressed. There are lots of chinese restaurants in the area. Our food was ok not impressive. I would recommend China Gourmet over Golden Lotus.

Decor, accessibility and plentiful parking may be the Golden Lotus's best features. The crabmeat cheese wontons are filled with a tasty mixture of crab and cream cheese. The family dinners are a good choice for sampling a number of dishes. The dinners include a choice of soup, appetizers, rice and entrees. The tasty mu shu pork has shredded pork, scallions and eggs, rolled in small thin pancakes with a generous dollop of hoisin sauce.
