Beautiful Happy Hour!. Redfish is a wonderful and quiet (most nights) happy hour destination. Sit at the bar on the back, the bartenders are very attendant and make a mean mojito. Appetizer menu pairs nicely with the happy hour deals!

Boulder's Cajun and craft-beer combination serves top-shelf brews and primo New Orleans fare.. In Short
The decor here is a blend of urban minimalism and Crescent kitsch, a hit with Boulder's smart set. The front patio and main dining room are backed by a cozy bar with an adjoining, spacious music room. The Creole dishes are authentic and thrilling, as are the house sausage dishes. Gumbo is savory, fat with Cajun spices and a few degrees of heat. The taps feature several Belgian-style ales, dry stout and smoked porter.

Great date restaurant!. After having read some of the citysearch reviews, I thought I would never visit the Redfish, because I have been to New Orleans and loved the real creole/cajun food. However, my husband and I went, and thoroughly enjoyed a calm, romantic evening with great food (I ordered the jambalaya--though not completely authentic, still tasted great with excellent seafood, and my husband ordered a grilled salmon that was to die for), excellent service, and a refreshing ambience! I wouldn't go there expecting traditional home-style creole cooking, but enjoy some exquisitely fresh seafood with a bit of cajun flare. There were a few small party groups, as well, who seemed to enjoy the atmosphere, so with partner, or friends, go and have a great time!

May be the worst food in town. As one who has spent many days in New Orleans, let's just say this ain't N'awlins. The meal started ok with an excellent skillet cornbread with butter and honey. The menu had the right stuff. The fried green tomatoes were fine on their own, but their delicacy was masked by the overwhelming mustard-red sauce they were swimming in. The barbecue shrimp were simply horrible. Instead of the classic preparation of head on shrimp baked with btter, lemon, and worchestershire, these tough jumbos were covered in a salty tomato sauce. Thr crawfish etoufee was the same odd red sauce. Sorry, but etoufee is a butter/roux sauce; this was like ketchup. The 'bugs were gamey as well. It was so bad we sent it back immediately and requested a check. A sorry excuse for a meal; shame on the proprietors for conjuring up a cajun restaurant without ever visiting Louisiana.

Pretty good!. Redfish has decently good food at an acceptable price. Their beers are tasty and the corn bread is delightful (try it with honey!). I had a good pasta dish that seemed to have no Creole roots whatsoever and a seared tuna salad with avocado that was INCREDIBLE. The calamari came with a funky barbecue-smelling sauce that I couldn't bear the scent of and the ribs were nothing spectacular. The service was friendly, but TOO fast. On my first visit, our salads and appetizers were served at the same time and main courses were served before we'd made a dent in our apps. During my second visit, our food came so quickly that we barely had time to taste the cornbread. Don't get me wrong, fast service isn't necessarily a BAD thing, but I was looking forward to a slow, relaxed eating experience and didn't find that at Redfish.
