What a joke!.
It was my second trip in six months to this overrated deli....my office is only about 30 feet away from it. I got an Italian foot-long with the works. I could barely see the layer of meat as it was thinner than the Jamaican guy who stuffs himself into a box on the Pearl Street Mall (any hoagie in the NE being a 300lb opera singer). They might call it a grinder in the Boston area, but the only thing that was ground in this meal was the roof of my mouth....it is still seriously sore 15 minutes after forcing the rock-hard roll down my throat (I still had to justify spending the $9). ||
I'm not sure if the comments above were paid to say what they said or what. I have not tried the cheesesteak, but with that roll, I wouldn't take the chance....especially for that outrageous price. ||
To be fair on the price, it is in the central part of tourist area and rent ain't cheap there. Still, no chance of giving Salvaggio's Deli another go for me.

I used to work there and I still miss the food.
This isn't the type of place of place you come for ambiance or customer service. You go because the subs are amazing. Its fresh, good quality Boars Head meat and hand made bread.
I used to work there years ago and I can vouch for that. I have lived other places since Boulder and have yet to find a Philly cheese steak that compares....even in Philly.

This popular Boulder deli tries for a taste of NYC with zesty Italian sandwiches..
In Short
This eatery's decor could be described as minimalist--with just a few tables and the serving line. The food is definitely New York style--there's freshly-sliced meats, less-than-bubbly service and a distinct lack of frou-frou choices. The bread is made fresh daily, and they don't skimp on the size. You'll find a decent portion of meat and cheese on sandwiches, which come in rolls or as hefty sub sizes.

Delicious!.
The sandwiches were amazing, I don't know what the reviewer was talking about - especially since I'm from San Francisco and I've spent plenty of time in NYC. The meat is incredible, the fixings are good, the bread is delicious and the staff is friendly. All for a reasonably priced meal. Yum!

Fresh and Tasty.
The sandwiches are fresh, tasty and large. Compared with other sandwich places, Salvaggio's wins hands down. I will definitely be a repeat customer.
