It was time for us to buy a house, as we decided we had enough with renting. We sat down with an agent from 4 Star and he really listened and showed us only homes that fit. Every one of them seemed great in their own way so it was a tough choice. We had help all the way through closing and we love our new home. We are grateful to all involved who helped get us here.

I have a new respect for Four Star since they hired a person who is very helpful and nice. The whole staff is very efficient and kind, two traits that other realty companies lack.

I have been a client of Rich Dana since 1998 and have bought, sold and referred clients to him. We started our relationship off when I was living in Tokyo and Rich -we had never met- started sending me listings via email. He treated me like a client he's known for years, even when we eventually met several months later and made him show us 32 house, we bought the 31st.

Beware! We couldn't see the place we wanted because they were "remodeling." They showed us a place that was about 1.5 times the size of ours and told us it would be the same size. They also claimed our place would have a dishwasher. We show up to move in and guess what, it's a crawl space with no dishwasher, which is good because a dishwasher would take up the entire place. When we called to complain about being cheated like this, their response was "we have your deposit." So helpful.

Also, the website claims rent is low, but when you're in the process of signing the lease they spring about $70 a month of fees on you right then.

Also, the "Brand new remodeling" included broken heaters, which the maintenance crew took literally four trips to our place to fix. Every trip involved them waking us up at 8 AM, they left screws and debris all over our floors, and in the end never actually even fixed the heaters, we were just so fed up with them that we stopped calling and use space heaters to this day. They then yelled at us for this ineptitude.

Also, they had a construction crew doing work on the building for two weeks without even telling us, and then left giant chunks of concrete on our doorstep.

Anytime we want to get a hold of our contact, it takes days to get a response to email and our calls are almost always ignored to voicemail.

I'm literally shocked by how many positive reviews are on this place. That is not at all the fourstar I am familiar with. Stay away from them!

My partner and I are owners of a large amount of student housing properties. Four Star has reliably kept watch over them and making sure things run smoothly and we get paid monthly. We trust them to handle regular maintenance, and larger repairs are always run by us first with several bids every time. We don't have to deal with the tenants either. Their book keeping methods are also very easy to understand and follow. Thanks to Four Star, these properties are the the strongest investments we have in our portfolio.

Four Star has a great maintenance department. They manage a property for me and I wanted to remodel it, and they were such a huge help throughout the entire process. They helped me choose the best option out of three bids, and kept an eye on the workers to make sure we got exactly what we were paying for. The house looks amazing and the improvements allowed us to increase the rent!
