Great location/really neat motel.
We stayed in this motel for three nights over Labor Day 07 and was very happy. It is really tucked away from the city. The owner/manager was super nice. We loved the visits from the squirrel, fox, and hummingbirds. The city park is across the street and has very nice stream that goes thru the park. The bed could have been more comfortable.

Simple cottages that maintain their original 1930s charm..
The Scene
Established in 1936, this is the oldest continuously operating motel in Boulder. It's still family run, and in fact the place has only changed hands four times in the last 67 years. It is adjacent to a city park and near Boulder Creek Path, University of Colorado and Pearl Street Mall.
The Details
This place offers clean, economical, basic accommodations. Each of the original nine cottages once had a kitchen and carport. Today, they have been converted into 18 cozy rooms and one two-bedroom suite, all of which still have the motel's signature rough-hewn log exteriors with red-scalloped trim. Rooms come with cable TV with HBO, refrigerators and free local calls. Complimentary coffee, tea and hot chocolate are served in the office. Pets are welcome for an extra $5 per day. Weekly rates are available during the off-season with reduced housekeeping services.
