Tips for Boulder Theater

Great comedy venue.. We attended a comedy show at the Boulder Theater and were really happy with the show and the venue. The show (Jim Gaffigan) was hysterical and the theater was very comfortable. I drove up to Boulder (from DTC) to get the tickets in person. (It?s an anti-ticketmaster thing.) The box office people were friendly and efficient. On the day of the show we enjoyed some pre-show appetizers and drinks at Cheesecake Factory on Pearl St. just steps away, then just walked right into the theater without a line or any waiting. We found great seats (general admission) and enjoyed every minute of the show. The location, venue, staff and amenities of the Boulder Theater would make any performance a great evening!

It's one of the region's finest small theaters and Boulder's best venue for live music and film.. In Short
Built in 1906, the Boulder was originally an opera house before becoming a film palace when talking motion pictures arrived. The building has undergone a number of renovations in its time, but many of its original features--including the extensive murals and artwork--are still intact. Nowadays, the theater hosts a blend of concerts, films and community events.

Cool Place. The Boulder Theater is fun. Movie theaters in the Boulder area suck especially AMCs but the Boulder theater always has good professional projection and booze!

A great theater. I also love seeing movies a the Boulder Theater. The projection is great. They always focus the movie to perfection and unlike most art houses I can actually hear the movie. Also one of my pet peves is that the lights in all movie theaters come up way to early. At the Boulder Theater the house lights don't come up until a least minute or two into the credits so you have time to digest the film and they do it every time. Great projectionists.

Great place for movies. I love seeing movies here. Although the theater is not state of the art as far as movie theaters go, the projection staff more than makes up for it. Every movie I have seen at the Boulder Theater has been perfectly projectected. Finding a theater that cares about a showing a movie properly is rare and I think I'm not overstating the Boulder Theater has the best projectionists around. I also love that you can order cocktails and beers to go with the movie.

Great Venue!. I've attended BT's jazz series for years and have never been disappointed with the facility, staff, or artists. They have a capacity for bringing in some solid performers. I really like the bar, too...they always have a cold pint (or two) of that marvelous "Twisted Pine Amber." You can't go wrong here....

Boulder theater. "I think the Boulder theater is the best in town. They cater to a very wide range of shows. Everything from Bluegrass to Hip-hop and even down to the classic cult films where you can enjoy a fine beer."
