Excellent hair cut from great people.. I have been to a lot of high priced "stylists" over the years and Al's is awesome and less $ than all the rest. My kids and I go there and I will not go anywhere else in Boulder. For all of you writing negative reviews, please don't go to Al's any more because the only con to Al's is how hard it is to get an appointment with the boss sometimes.

Good Experience. I dont know where he got his cut at but it wasnt the same Als I went to. Great cut, of course the usual barbershop 5 minute wait but its not their fault...customers get picky. Cute staff, good cut, and a cheap shave. Im all over it

Barbershop or Daycare?. Are they running a day care as well. Two of the three times I have visited, there were kids were pushing the stools on rollers on them around the shop while screaming. The parents weren?t doing anything and Al didn?t even make an attempt to quiet them down when I voiced my opinion to him. He just said kids will be kids. That is when he just lost a customer as many of us don?t like screaming kids. We come here for relaxation, not to be in the middle of a day care.

Great place for a great cut. I have had great experiences with Al's Barber Shop. Barbers are great, front desk staff sometimes needs encouragement to help with a timely response, but with some encouragement will respond in a nice fashion. Pay your parking, or at least schedule early in the morning appointments to avoid the college parking traffic. Definitely the best place I've ever had my hair cut, especially in Boulder.

Boss Is Alwyas Late, And I Have To Pay. I have had Al cut my hair three times now and he was late every time. The last time I was I was 10 minutes early. Al took just started the guy before me when I walked in. He cut into my time slot by 15 minutes and at that point I just walked out. If tis shop takes appointments, why are they always running late? The first time I was there, my parking meter ran out because he was running so late and got a parking ticket. The $35 for the haircut and the $20 parking ticket are not worth the trip. I will not be back.

Great hair, great atmosphere. I took my boyfriend there becuase I heard it was the only shop around where a guy could get a great cut without feeling overwhelmed. The building is cool, the stylist are trained and attentive, and he looks hot! He has found his barbershop and I don't have to worry when he says he's going to get his haircut.
