Nancy Avery at Chaz is fabulous. She has been my stylist for over 10 years. Nancy cuts and styles hair -- no coloring. There are many, many return customers at Chaz. Convenient, full time receptionist, and all the pricing is definitely competitive. I would highly recommend Nancy for all cuts and styling.
I guess it's all in who you get. Chaz is close to where I live and someone recomended a specific person, I went on a whim as a walk-in and got Dora, (not the person recommended) , she worked me very hard for a tip and didn't listen. I asked for a razor cut, she ignored my request and cut my hair with electric clippers, and did it badly. It was very expensive for a mans haircut. I plan to go back one day and get the person recomended, its just difficult to talk myself into spending the money. Ah, I almost forgot, while waiting for my haircut with a few other folks I got to listen to the girl working the desk talking trash with a male employee about a customer who had just left, so that was nice.
Avoid Chaz Salon. I went to Julie Yang at Chaz Salon, who unfortunately cut the curl and the style right out of my hair. I knew I was in trouble when she tried to use the thinning shears all over my hair, then doused my hair with volumes of hair spray before drying. She also managed to cut some sections of my almost-shoulder length hair so short that I probably have a year's worth of growing out to do. If you have really straight or really curly hair, she might be OK, but this was, by far, the worst hair cut I've ever had.
Ruined my hair. Had my hair done by Theresa, very nice gal. She highlighted and cut my hair. My hair was orange and the cut was awful. I went to another salon and asked them to fix it. The salon I went to in California was just fabulous and they told me that my hair was over processed and she didn't let my hair lift enough, hence the orange. Also, the cut was not angled properly. All in all, it cost me another $250 to get my hair back to a decent color and cut. You get what you pay for!
good salon. as a long time customer to chaz i have always been satisfied. i first got my hair done by the founder chaz himself, i then was recomended to his coleague Theresa. She is a Vidal Sasson trained stylist and gives great haircut for any trend. i highly recomend visiting Theresa at chaz salon.
