The management are BIGOTS!.
In March of 07 myself and two friends attempted to dine at the Black Forest for dinner. It was a Saturday night at 8:25 and they claimed that the kitchen was closed and no food was left. The matre'd and the manager both rushed over to be sure that we were made to feel unwelcome. Not one pretzel or piece of schitzel to be eaten in the whole place? There were other people eating in the restaraunt when we arrived. I had to beg my friends to come to this restaraunt. It seems that around Ned it is commonly known that this establishment discriminates against it's prospective patrons. If you don't look "right", you may be refused service. I have dined in places all over the world and spent three years living in Stuttgart. The management of the Black Forest is the absolute LEAST hospitable I have ever encountered. If you want to give money to liars and bigots, then please go to the Black Forest. I'll never go back.

Great food, excellent service, fair prices, and a classic atmosphere!.
I've only been there twice for dinner and once for lunch, but I felt compelled to alert the area to such a great restaurant. They have an impressive assortment of delicious German dishes, all of which are sure to satisfy in the extreme. The meats are prepared so well that they melt in your mouth, in fact, you need only use your fork. They very obviously take great pride in their presentation as well as their ingredients, and, as if that weren't enough, the Black Forest Inn is family owned and operated. To be blunt, they have an old fashioned Oxtail Soup that more than gives a reason to drive to Nederland just for lunch. And, of course, it must not be forgotten that they have a selection of the most magnificent deserts.
Relaxing to the wonderful view and fresh mountain air, listening to the hummingbirds flitting from flower to flower, enjoying a view of the occasional mountain-rain shower, and reveling in such a fine dining experience promises to make for a very pleasant outing.
Black Forest review. Definetly a saturday deal, drive up to Netherlands through gorgeous wavy roads (even better if you're looking for a great motorcycle ride) and getting there has all the rewards at the end. Food is fantastic, prices are affordable, service is great. The place is big and light, and you will have a wonderful dining experience if you're going for lunch, brunch or dinner!
