Great place to eat when you are in the mountains..
The food at this place is delicious. I visit the neighborhood several times each year, and I make it a point to hit this place up every time. I was lucky enough to be there earlier this week, and the food was delicious as usual. I ordered the garlic cheese naan, spinach aloo, and hot sake. I did notice an earlier review that mentioned that Kathmandu Restaurant is located in a little shack-like building. It has since moved right down the street and the restaurant is much bigger.
I wouldn't mind eating here every week if I could.
Free Refills on CHAI?!?. This place is amazing. Not only was the food superb, and well prepared, but the Chai is spot on as well. And after I finished my first glass (after sharing it with my date), we both decided we should order another one...when they came back around with a full carafe and refilled it free, we were both surprised, and smiling. Overall - great restaurant. Check it out. Well worth the drive.
Cozy restaurant in Nederland offers Indian dishes with a dash of Nepalese items..
This cozy and welcoming spot melds the mountains of Nepal with those of Colorado, and it works in an odd way. The menu mostly consists of Indian food with Nepalese momos (dumplings) and soups added to the mix, with a few "American entrees" and dishes like saag tofu to saisfy just about every palate. The overall feel is that the price is right, the portions large; a perfect stop when visiting Nederland.
A Great Find in the Indian Peaks. This is cool, very Ned-like restaurant. Food is excellent, service fast, and although the little shack-like building the restaurant is located in is a little small, it still manages to exude a Nepalese atmosphere. Great value for the money. Love to stop here after a day of hiking or snowshoeing in the Indian Peaks.
