Horendous Service and Food. an unbelievable experience at this place. we waited forever to get our food (with a bunch of hungry kids), then the food comes and it is gross, the lamest grilled cheese, burnt on one side and ungrilled on the other side. 3 kids ordered grilled cheese and they were all the same. (and on top on that, if you opened it up, the cheese was only on half the bread, other half just bread !) ....runny eggs etc..... took 1 hour to get food from time we entered......almost left at one point (should have) but when you have so much time invested and hungry kids its hard to do. additionally, my arms were sticking to the table. there was nothing good or enjoyable about this experinece.

Whistler's Cafe. The tables are all sticky, it takes forever to get service, there's lots of flies, and my eggs, toast and bacon breakfast gave me the runs.

Horible service!. Waited over 20 minutes and wa never waited on so we left I'm a local and I will never return to eat there again.

nice vibe. The old Whistler's (which was a Nederland Landmark for years and the best breakfast in town) was destroyed by fire in 2007. I tried the newly rebuilt Whislers and it is quite nice! The Ned-Head vibe is still there with a 'shrine' to Jerry and Ziggy on each side of a 43" plasma HDTV over the bar. This pretty much sums it up. Great Ned Vibe mixed with brand new style. (and $2 Stellas for happy hour which extends to 7pm the night i was there!)

I had dinner, my companion had a burger form the lunch menu and i'm sure the breakfasts are as good as ever. Everything was great and the service was friendly. I'll be going back alot.
