Awesome beer and food!. A friend of mine took me to southern sun, and at first I was skeptical. Turns out the beer is awesome, and they have a great selection of it. The vegetarian Nachos are amazing and I drive about 45 minutes every other week to get them. This is a great place with a cool atmosphere.

Pros: Food, beer, music

micro-brew real food. Man, we all know they got a whole schode of awesome beers. Sometimes I just sit there n think- I wish that place was like just a bar or something cuz I could totally just take down like 6 different beers there right now. N THEY MAKE ALL THAT THEMSELVES! Have you ever gone there thinking you just want a burger or something? Like that one with the jalapenos n those bomb azz fries that are all homestyle n stuff, then you have a couple beers n it's like WHOA! why can't I just come out n drink this stuff all the time. I LOVE THIS BEER. This one time I went there totally cravin on the burrito that they do, n they were like totally packed cuz they always are, but they couldn't even say how long it was gonna be cuz it was just like so busy, like out the door stuff ya know? I sat there thinkin about that burrito n how thirsty I was n then all the sudden BAM! this chick brought out free samples of beer. FREE! Can you believe it? I couldn't! I got like 4 of those things cuz I was waiting so long. If that wasn't like my mind was blowd, some dude brought out fries n snacks to try. I figured I should just come here to taste stuff when it's busy cuz this is awesome! Last time I was there my friend told me to try the wings. I was like nah, I don't even like chicken wings but he ordered them anyway. When they came to the table I was like DANG! Are these mutant chickens or turkeys?! They were huge n it was like all juicy n tenderness n stuff. I couldn't believe it! I tried the wings at this place on the corner by the mall cuz I was all jazzed about wings n they sucked n reminded me why I hate wings, but the southern sun wings shouldn't even be called wings, they should be called like, I dunno, awesome chicken drums that'll blow your mind baby! something like that anyway

"beer natzi" of south Boulder!. Southern Sun is way over-rated. They still have great beer, but the quality of the food and more importantly, the customer service has really gone downhill lately. I have been going to Southern Sun since they opened, but I have had too many bad experiences with very forgetful, rude wait staff to continue going. The have become the "beer natzi" of south Boulder!

WOW!. WOW! What can I say? They did it! I have been going to Mountain Sun Pub and Brewery for about 6 years now. I live in South Boulder and always hated the drive to downtown Boulder. But now I have my own little (actually big) brew pub in my back yard and no reason to drive down town. The Southern Sun offers the same ambience and spirit as the original pub. This is amazing considering the size. It is over double the size and nearly double the fun. Thank you to the Southern Sun staff for making my South Boulder experience the best it can be. --Patron forever.
