Clear Choice Window Tinting, Clearbras, & Automotive Detailing

Great Work All Around. Last week, I picked up my new 2012 Porsche Cayenne from the dealer after waiting four months for it to arrive since it was a custom order. I then brought the Cayenne over to the guys at Clear Choice / Details Plus Auto for 1) exterior detail; 2) tinting; 3) clear bra installation.

I spoke to Josh, the owner, before bringing the car in, and he thoroughly explained what would be done to the car and the experience of all his workers. With so many clear bra installers in Denver/Boulder, I didn't know where to go, but Josh sounded dependable and knowledgeable. So I wanted to give him a shot despite the shop being 60 miles from my house.

When I arrived, Josh and I walked around the car and he again described exactly how the work would be completed and introduced me to Kirby, the individual who would be doing the clear bra installation. I left the car at the shop and Josh even gave me a ride to downtown Boulder.

A few days later I came back to pick up my car. Josh was there to meet me - as he personally wanted to see if I was satisfied with the work. I first examined the tint. This was a huge concern for me because the Cayenne's rear windows are already factory tinted and I wanted the driver/passenger windows to match with the rears. I was impressed by how closely they were able to match up the windows - they looked exactly the same. So far so good.

Next I took a careful look at the clear bra. With a black car, and a dramatically sloping hood, I was afraid the clear bra would be noticeable. But only with very close inspection could you see the clear bra. The edges were nicely tucked under the hood (I got the entire hood done), the bumper was smooth, and the fenders were completely covered. The bra along the fenders unfortunately had to be split into two pieces, but the line was only noticeable from up close. Overall, it was great. It should look even better after a few days when the moisture is gone.

What I also like a lot about this place is the customer service. Josh is easily reachable via email and phone. When there was a slight discrepancy in the price he initially quoted me from the final invoice another employee prepared, Josh quickly refunded the amount. No questions asked.

Extremely disappointed. Was extremely disappointed by this shop. Got an over-the-phone estimate for having clear bra installed on my car. The material was pre laser-cut for my car (Lotus) and only needed to be installed, no cutting at all. Was called 4 hours later and told that it would be more than double the original estimate and they hadn't even started on the car (it was supposed to be complete an hour after the time they called). Told them no thank you, I don't do business with companies like this. Their work may be great but their business practices leave much to be desired. I'd avoid as there are many places that do this work well with a good business ethic.…

Quality Work and Service. Brought my 2005 Jeep Liberty in to Clear Choice to have window tint and clear bra installed after getting an estimate over the phone. They were able to fit me in the next day. Dropped off in the morning, was ready that same afternoon.

Had hoped to be able to match the rear factory tint. Although it didn't come out a perfect match, the guys at Clear Choice got as close as they could, and it came out great. They took the time to explain some basics regarding caring for the tint as well. They were able to remove the decal from the hood, apply the clear bra, and then re-apply the decal. I don't see this done often with clear bras, but it really makes a difference in the appearance and protection, and shows the extra level of detail these guys strive to achieve. Both the windows and clear bra came out flawless - very impressed with their work.

Would definitely use Clear Choice again.…

Excellent and Honest Work. I had Josh and his staff apply a full clear bra and window tinting on my 2009 Audi A5. The clear bra turned out excellent. Top quality work on the install of the bra. Now for the not so good part... During the install of the tint water got into the the amplifier which provides the sound for the stereo and the nav system. Turns out the location of the amp is such that water used during the application of the tint can find its way under the rear deck and into the amp thus causing it to blow out. Audi published a tech note on this issue and will, and did, refuse to perform any warranty work on the amp if the car has been tinted. Needless to say I wish this would not have happened but it did. Josh explained to me what happened and to his credit admited that it was the fault of his staff. I don't know about you but when a business owner makes and mistake and admits it that goes a long way with me. Mistakes happen and that's that. Anyway, to make a long story somewhat less long Josh made it right by replacing the amplifier without me having to press him to do so. I will be back to Clear Choice for regular detailing of my Audi. This is a straight up honest business that does excellent work.…
