Dr. Tanya Nicholson is amazing!. Dr. Tanya Nicholson was extremely thorough and answered all my questions during my 1/2 hour contact lens exam.

She put me in a newer brand of contacts in a slightly higher prescription in my right eye, and after a few days, I didn't love the new-to-me brand of contacts and higher prescription in my right eye.

So, I called the office, left a detailed message about my concerns, and she called me back, not her assistant (very impressive!). We played phone tag until I talked her this past Saturday, and she was very understanding about my concerns, and rewrote my prescription to my older brand of contacts/ older prescription in my right eye. She left it for my at the optical center without a follow-up visit.

I highly recommend Dr. Nicholson for any of eye needs!

Excellent eye exam with Dr. Tanya Nicholson. I've been searching for an optometrist in Colorado that I like and trust and finally found a great one at Costco of all places. I've been wearing glasses / contacts for 20 years and it seems that every year my vision gets a bit worse. Dr. Tanya Nicholson provided a very thorough exam and didn't try to rush anything. She also started the appointment on time, which rarely happens for me with other doctors. I was really pleased with her skills and patience, plus the cost was very reasonable. Dr. Nicholson really cared about finding the right prescription for me and now I'm reaping the benefits with great vision every day. Thank you Dr. Nicholson!

Fantastic Experience. I have been in and out of glasses for years because of my "uncorrectable vision". I finally went to Costco optical out of desperation because it was in my price range. I am so thankful that I went! I saw Dr. Tanya Nicholson and I must say she was so patient doing the exam because I have difficulty choosing 1 or 2 ect. She listened to what I was describing and was more than happy to accommodate me when I kept changing my mind or was indecisive during the exam. She fit me for contacts that day as well. My eyes are so dang dry so she gave me a couple of different brands to try until I found a contact type that was wonderful.

I have had nothing but a wonderful experience and it has been a lifestyle change being able to see for the first time in years. I can wear contacts, go to movies, and drive at night and my glasses are perfect! Thank you costco for the prices and thank you so much Dr. Nicholson for being able to fix an "unfixable" persons eyes!

Worst Optometrist I've Seen in 35 years. I went to Tanya Nicholson in March 2010 because I thought I'd save a few dollars. What a terrible mistake! I visited her office no fewer than 6 times over the course of the next two months trying to get a contact lens prescription that was accurate. Each time I went in, she'd give me another eye exam, and write a different prescription than she'd previously written, give me a trial pair of contacts, and send me on my way, not even bothering to request a follow-up visit a week or two later, as most good eye doctors will do. Each time, my vision was worse, not better, and while I could see well in one eye, the other eye was always "off"...significantly sometimes. And it wasn't always the same eye that was "off." I've been going to eye doctors for 35 years and have never had a problem like this. After two months, I still didn't have the right prescription to see with contact lenses, but I was told I would have to pay again if I wanted her to adjust my prescription again. I passed on that and decided to go back to my old eye doctor in Boulder who, although costing almost twice as much out-of-pocket, always schedules follow-up visits to make sure I'm seeing well and not having problems, and has never sent me home with one wrong prescription after another.

I noticed another reviewer mentioned that Dr. Nicholson was rude. That was not my experience, but after the 2nd visit, she was not friendly, either. I was very much made to feel like it was *my fault* that I couldn't see properly and had to keep going back to her. Her "bedside manner" leaves a lot to be desired, as do her technical skills. She should go back to optometry school immediately or better yet, find another line of work. I'm sorry I can't leave her a zero-star review.

Great experience at Costco with Tanya Nicholson. I saw the previous negative comment regarding Dr Nicholson and I felt compelled to submit this review because I had an excellent experience with her.

I recently moved from Oregon and was referred to Dr Nicholson from a friend and received a very comprehensive eye exam. Tanya spent a lot of time with me and described my options and even put this weird looking contraption on my face with the prescription that she found. This gave me a chance to see exactly what my new glasses would look like. About 10 days later when I received my glasses I was nothing but 100% pleased.

I wholeheartedly recommend getting an eye exam at Costco because the price is right and the staff is very pleasant.

Horrible Optometrist - Tanya Nicholson. I had a horrible experience with the optometrist, Tanya Nicholson. Tanya Nicholson gave me an eye glass prescription that was completely wrong. When I went back to her with the issue she blamed the optical department at Costco for not making the glasses correctly. Costco made a new pair of glasses which I still could not see well through. When I wanted to go back a third time for her to examine the prescription, she was completely rude and insisted on charging me for the visit. Instead, I decided to go to another eye center where the ophthalmologist told me that the prescription that Tanya Nicholson gave me was completely wrong. I was seeing 20/80 from the glasses prescription she gave me! Luckily, I did not waste money on a third visit with Tanya Nicholson and I advise all potential clients to look for another optometrist.
