Are You Kiddin Me?. Wow. Just read the 2-star review about the "rude owner" below and I am shocked that someone would go after Teresa Taylor like that. She is a wonderful, classy person that has done more for this area's community than anyone I can think of. Obviously this reviewer couldn't bring her kid to an adult club and was miffed. Duh! What was she thinking anyway?!? Nissi's is a first-class music venue for adults. When I take my wife out for a date, Nissi's is our favorite place to go--and we certainly don't want kids running around. Go to Chili's! Give us one place where we can go where we can have a fun, friendly adult place--please--and THANK YOU Teresa! Way to go, we love you!

Best club for boomers. Nissi's is a refuge for boomers. Intimate, artsy, classy--with great food and music that people 35-65 would love. Great place for a date. Plus, the shows are over at 9:30 on weeknights and 10 pm on weekends. Perfect

Great atmosphere, but too pricey and extremly rude owner. When making reservations there was a notice that they limit their clientele to persons age 13 or older. While making the reservations the confirmation came with a note stating that the 13 and older age limit was only a recommendation and if we chose to bring younger children to please keep control of them. We decided that since our 11 year old was extremely well behaved we would have him join us this night. Upon arrival, the owner was very rude, questioning how old our son is. When we told her 11 she said that they have a 13 and older rule. I explained how I understood the confirmation and that our child is very respectful and no one would even notice he was there. She continued to state that she gets complaints from customers and that we should be sure to keep him off the dance floor. Apparently she did not recognize that we and our son were her customers. After what seems like 10 minutes of her explaining her distaste for younger patrons with a sour look on her face we were seated. Once we were seated at a table for four, the owner apparently needed an extra chair somewhere and just came over and took the one from our table without one word. The food was VERY delicious but way over-priced. The wait staff was very attentive and professional and even aplogized for the rudeness with which the owner removed the extra chair from our table. She well deserved the tip. The wait staff is the ONLY reason this was a 2-star review and not a 1-star. The concept of this venue is hip and fun, but with the attitude of the owner, I don't think she will be in business for long.
