The item looks cheap in menu, but expensive in bill. I should go to costco miles away

High Cost -- Low Value!. FIRST: I'm reviewing the Smashburger that opened in Englewood at Broadway @ Floyd [north of King Soopers].

Beautiful place. But food is very expensive and value and quality is not there.

They brag about their meat quality and it is indeed high quality meat.

Everything else is low quality. French fries are the cheapest frozen/fast food type. Ptiful! Bun is barely OK.

I had the 1/2 pounder and paid some $8.00 for the burger and fries. No drink included at that price. Service was a bit slow but acceptable. I'll not go there again.

Just a few blocks from this location is the fairly new OLD SCHOOL BURGERS [on Hampden just east of Sante Fe]. Have had a very high quality double cheese burger there with all kinds of extras, including fresh cut and cooked french fries, and it's only $6.00 INCLUDING DRINK! By far the better place to eat.

Horrible Experience. My wife, two kids (toddlers) and I ate at Icon Burger today. Overall, a terrible experience; we will not be going back.

Three things made it horrible:

1. The staff opened one of the two doors at the front of the restaurant and left it open. My wife told the staff she could see her breath and asked if she could close it. Their reply was "no, we're bring in supplies." For the next ten minutes the staff brought boxes into the store. We moved all of our belongings (including our lunch) to the back of the restaurant; none of the staff offered to help.

2. We found two black hairs in our food. One was on a pickle, the other on a french fry plate.

3. The music was very loud hard rock. Some may like this and that doesn't bother me, but probably not a great idea in a family-oriented restaurant.

Honestly, if the food was excellent we may have considered giving the place another shot at some point. The food was mediocre, we will not be going back!
