WORST RENTAL PROPERTY EVER – Awesome below me is probably Peter one of his workers writing in and trying to make themselves seem better. Also I only gave them one star, because I could not give them zero. When in all reality sunnyside property management is literally the worst rental agency to exist. We got our bill this month and we were charge 609 dollars for trash. The tenants before absolutley trashed the house and when we toured sunnyside told us everything would be repaired. BUT to our surprise when we moved in nothing was fixed. The carpet smelt like yearn throughout the house, we complained and only by one of our parents threatening to sue, because of sanitary reasons did they replace the carpet ONLY upstairs. The carpenders said that they found massive amounts of yearn under the carpet. Now this has caused us to believe there is yearn everywhere else in the house, but they will not replace it. The only this that was done and I think it was because of what one of the mothers said before, but they came and shampooed it, only to make it smell like dirty feet and yearn. Our garbage disposal was not working when we moved in so we asked them to fix it and when they fixed it they charged us 300 dollars.. UM IT WAS BROKEN BEFORE WE MOVED IN. Also, just letting you know sunnyside will not respond most of the time. We are great tenants and we have decorated and made the house look 100000 times better than it did when we move in, so they aren't rude to us because we are bad tenants. All they want is money and they will do whatever they can to get it. Also, sunnyside rarely gets permits for structrual and electrical things they do in the house, so the house you are living in is probably unsafe. Our electrical box has two boxes stacked on eachother, I mean we would have to remove one box to get to the other. This is completly illegal, what if a fuse blew or power went out and we needed to get to the powerbox? We would have to unscrew 8 screws and try to figure out how to get around all the cords, possibly get electricuted just to make our power work again. I advice everyone NOT to rent from sunnyside. I promise you will regret it.... PROMISE
Astoundingly awful – Where to start? It took them four months to fix a broken window. Any time I have tried to contact the office, via phone, email or letter, it has taken a MINIMUM of three attempts before anyone responds. I received a notice from them that I was in violation of my lease for having a pet when I wasn't. That took three phone calls, two letters and one email on my part until they finally admitted they were wrong. During a conversation with one of the staff where I was disputing a late fee, I caught her in three separate lies about the company's policies and practices and my rental history, and she never even batted an eyelash when I called her out on each one. Unfortunately I'm stuck in this apt. until next summer when I fully expect to have to have to go to court over whatever they try to pull with refunding my security deposit. The only thing more shocking than their treatment of tenants is their A raing with the Better Business Bureau.
I have created a City Search account just to review Sunny Side Property Mgmt. SSPM's staff are unprofessional at best, but more specifically they are consistently rude, condescending, ineffective, and have attempted to intimidate both myself and my roommate. And like one of the other reviewers, we are both older professionals with a perfect payment history, not some college kids from CU. • Maintenance issues can go undone for months at a time; I currently have a maintenance request that is several months (!) outstanding. And the work that has been done on our rental has been of very poor quality in my opinion and likely to cost our homeowner more money in the end. • During phone calls to their office, I have been shouted at by several of their staff when I've asked to have my expectations set for work orders or follow-ups on specific leasing issues. Certain members of their staff have also shared inappropriate and very personal information with us during routine checks of our home. And like the reviewer below, our phone calls and emails also go unanswered frequently. • We have rented for several years in Boulder--again with perfect return of security deposits and perfect payment history--and by far, Sunnyside is the WORST mgmt company that we have ever rented under. They truly do not advocate for either the homeowners they represent or the renters that they are being contracted to support.
Don't waste your money on the application fee – AWFUL! We are a professional adult couple and they treated us very disrespectfully. They do not return phone calls or emails and do not notify tenants as they should. They don't advocate for owners or tenants so I am not sure why they are still in business. We use a property mgmt. service in another town for an investment property so we know how it works on both sides, and Sunnyside does neither well.
The WORST property management company I have EVER worked with – Well, I do not know how you could go anymore wrong if you were to sign any lease with Sunnyside Property Management L.L.C. here in Boulder. First of all, they rent low grade apartments in Boulder and completely over charge the tenant. When I moved in, my stove and oven were from the 1950s, and after numerous calls to them about how faulty my stove was, it CAUGHT on fire! It took them forever to even come and look at it, and I went the remainder of my lease (2 1/2 MONTHS) without a stove or oven. My window got broken and it took them a month to come out and look at it, I sent numerous requests to have the ants and spiders that were in there taken care of and that never happened. On top of that, they are extremely rude people (all of them, even the receptionist) and even hung up on me. Just expect from these people if you ever need any work done in your place, you will never get a call back about it, and if you have any problems there will be no one there who cares enough to do their JOB. Unfortunately there are not enough rental companies in Boulder, so they think they can be rude to the tenants because we have no other choices or places to rent. I would highly suggest renting from ANYWHERE else but here! Do yourself a favor and save the giant headache.
