Worst Service Ever!
by jtaff at Citysearch
Went for a late night happy hour dinner that was almost 3 hours long! Food was very slow to come out, they informed us nearly half hour after we ordered that they were out of several of the dishes we ordered. Brought out the wrong thing several times and still left it after we told them it was wrong and then charged us for it! Over half of our party currently work in restaurants so we tried to be understanding but when we mentioned to the manager that he might want to pull his stuff together so his restaurant survives, he started arguing with us. We were frankly appalled and felt horribly disrespected. None of us would ever treat a customer the way the server and manager acted towards us. They were pretty scummy. The food was pretty good (not as good as many other options in Boulder though), sadly I will never go back there to have and suggest you don't either because it's not worth the hassle at all!
- Pros: none whatsoever
- Cons: horrible service, horrible management
Great Fresh Food
by chrispickering at Citysearch
As a business traveler, finding good food that isnt the normal frozen, out of a box, chain restaurant can be a challenge. Prima is a breath of fresh air where I know everytime I visit Boulder there will always be a fresh daily menu and fresh ingredients made by a real chef who has passion for food.
My experiences have been exceptional service and amazing food. Chef Tony continues to create outstanding dishes which keeps me driving halfway across Boulder for dinner whenever I visit.
- Pros: Great food, excellent wine list, creative chef
- Cons: I live to far away to eat more of the ice cream! (probably a good thing)
Takes the happy out of happy hour
by alap at Citysearch
I work in a restaurant so many times I can be very understanding but I have never been treated so poorly or so rudely by management as I was at Prima. We went to dinner for happy hour, which took us 2 1/2 hours to get through!!! The food was OK but did not make up for the lack of customer service and good business ethic
- Pros: Food was good
- Cons: Service was awful, salads came out 20 minutes after apps
