New Ownership was a great thing. I've tanned at a few places in Boulder. Normally the girls who work the front desk are rude sorority girls. The girls who work the desk here are really helpful and the new owner is really great. They used to offer free lotions, but now they're $2. Even that is great, most places charge $4+ for a tiny shot of lotion! They don't charge you to use goggles or make you buy any. They also offer to store your lotion there so you don't have to worry about forgetting it- which I thought was a great idea. Happy Hour tends to get a little busy (8-10pm M-Th is 1/2 price tanning!) so they offer a package where you can get the 1/2 price during the day for 30 days.

Great deals. Great people. I highly suggest trying it out.

Long Search for Best Tan in Boulder. I've been to every tanning salon in Boulder just about and nowhere is there better service and prices than Buff Tan on the hiil. I've found that the standard with most salons in Boulder are a snobby sorority girl whose never had a real job in her life, behind the counter, more concerned with he blackberry than you, high prices and mediocre services. I had avoided the hill because of parking and what not, but have consistently returned to Buff Tan because of their happy hour between 7-9 pm and free lotion. I have always been pleasantly surprised. Its a little bit of wait if you want a specific bed, but the customer service is impeccable. I go once a week and last week I waited longer than usual and had to finally use a different bed than i wanted. The girl behind the counter was really apologetic and helpful with using the stand-up which i was unfamiliar with. This week I went back in and not only did she remember me and apologzed again for the wait, but she gave me a free tan. I was really impressed and will not tan anywhere else from now on. I ended up liking the stand up better anyway!

Best Price in boulder. Free lotion with every tan. Best prices in Boulder, can purchase by the minute. 7 beds 6 different kinds. Half price after 7pm. Con: Generally a wait.

Hot in the summer. Pros: Not crowded (maybe because nobody except me goes tanning in June?), free lotion sample with every tan, pay by the minute

Cons: Hot (upstairs in non-air-conditioned strip mall), only 1 of each bed type, lotion selection not current (plus I don't think they work as well when they get really hot)
