Good Food, a little pricey for the poor quality of service. This place was a little out of the way for me, but as I am constantly in search of decent Mexican food in the Boulder area I decided to make the trip based on some good reviews.

The food was better than the mediocre mexican food you find in most of Boulder. The pupusas in particular were very unique and delicious. I had the enchiladas and was very satisfied. My boyfriend ordered the tacos, which were tasty, but came in a very small portion for a supposed "meal".

The service was efficient, but the waiter was rushed and barely spoke to us. He got the job done, but wasn't exactly pleasant.

Overal the food/experience was good, but I found the prices to be a little too high for a return visit (you have to pay to get chips and a bowl of queso is $8!?!). I would suggest it if you would like something different and have the cash to spend (and aren't too particular about quality of service).

Decent food not worth AWFUL service. The terrible service of my last visit to Pupusas was the last straw, and it's unfortunate since it's the only food of its type in the north Broadway neighborhood. I've put up before with long disappearances from the one waiter there even when only 2 or 3 tables have customers, and the constant inconsistencies (some tables get chips & salsa, some don't...some get water, some don't...etc.). But this time, I had to track him down for my check after a 20+ minute long absence, and his response was arrogant and insulting. I won't be returning, and don't recommend it until they change the waitstaff and their approach to customer service. (Ps. I'm not "one of those" diners either...I'm forgiving & patient when it comes to that difficult job, and have worked as a waiter myself. This guy is the worst.)
