I wanted to share my fantastic experience with Flatirons Subaru! The entire experience felt as if I was working with a family. It started off with me being welcomed by Cara Slaughter who was very friendly and helpful. I met Ray Muller who treated me with respect and very kindly. He was extremely thorough, he walked me through the 4 car choices I was interested in. We Test drove each one together. and I got to see why everyone I know that owns a Subaru, loves there Subaru! Now I did look at another one other dealership in the area that has comparable price points for there cars, where the service was less than stellar which made my decision easier on picking a Subaru. When I had made my decision, Ray and Shae Hansen the from Finance worked with us on our time crunch and stayed late and worked with me on the deal. The quality of time that each person spent with me, really made the difference.
I love Subaru, and have made the majority of my auto purchases at Flatirons Subaru. I have had excellent service in regards to sales, service and the paperwork process waw quick and efficient. I have worked with Jon Ferguson and he has provided stellar service - so much so that for my last purchase of a 2012 Legacy Sedan, I drove from Omaha to Boulder to make the purchase, despite the fact that we have 2 Subaru dealers in the city
I drove off the lot in a dream car!.
I went in to Flatirons Subaru to talk with the Finance Officer, Shae, about getting a loan to buy the car that my girlfriend had leased, but that I had paid for, a 2009 Subaru Impreza. She helped me through that, but then saw that I really wanted a different car-a fantastic 2012 WRX. I had no idea I could get that car, and am still totally pumped to be leasing it now! Jon Eric took over and walked me through with the new car. He did a fine, professional, efficient and extremely friendly job. The whole process happened quickly. I really felt like they were willing to work with me and make something wonderful happen.
My car is fast, sleek and makes me happy every time I drive it!
Service. Flatirons Subaru is a great place to take your car for service. KRISTEN MILLER is very sweet, professional and knowledgeable. I will being many more vehicles to this dealership for service and recomend Kristen Miller highly !
Terrible Start ... Super Finish.
I decided to check out Flatiron's Subaru 9/19 in order to possibly test drive a 2011 Impreza wrx. After having a less than steller experience at Valley Subaru in Longmont, I decided I would try a bigger seemingly better dealership.
Let me preface this second part with stating, I am a younger female in college, with this being said I went in looking for someone to help me more than the Longmont dealership had. I looked at the inventory and asked to speak to a sales rep (which, shall I say, I dont typically do typically I hate asking for the sales reps). The lady Arlene Ott was the first sales associate to help me. I introduced myself and didnt know her name until we were saying goodbyes, which she had already forgotten my name by that time. To say she was rather unhelpful would be an understatement. I corrected her on cars she had on her lot, and she didnt quite know her selection. She then pretty much stated I couldn't afford the car I was looking at and I should look at older cars. This frustrated me and I planned on not returning.
However, when my mom wanted me to test drive a new car she said lets go to Flatirons, after telling her my previous experience, she was a little sour at the idea of going back and was willing to give the lady a piece of her mind. We got there and immedately was greeted by Xavier Gronros(Garmito as his card says) (this was nice because I didnt have to search for help) we explained the prior situation to him and he was egar to change our experience around. After walking though the cars he had in stock, we took the older 2006 for a spin. I loved the car but still kind of wanted to go with a new one. He was more than helpful pulling up the inventory of surrounding dealerships in order to find exactly what I wanted. He never once tried to pressure me into purchasing, and at the end of the night after working with him for over 2 hours I decided to reserve the new wrx that is coming in.
Honestly, my intentions entering the dealership this afternoon were to test drive a new one and buy elsewhere. However, after Xavier's excellent help I refuse to go elsewhere. Arlene lost a sale and almost lost a buyer thankfully Xavier was so helpful, he treated me like an equal and I reccomend if you go there ask for him. He wont steer you in the wrong direction!
Great service, low pressure. Flatirons Subaru has a great service department and a great sales staff. ask for Xavier Gronros for honest dealings.

Revamped customer service....
Flatirons Subaru has unfortunately been notorious for their (lack of) customer service. Even though their vehicle turnaround is relatively large, most of their sales are probably driven by the distinct lack of full-service Subaru dealerships in Boulder county.
In other words, people go there because they have to.
Fortunately, the general managers and sales directors caught on, and they have been making some great strides towards making their customers the priority.
They are reworking their sales force tactics, and bringing on professional salespeople to meet the needs of their customers. Xavier Gronros, a Boulder native and Subaru fanatic has almost a decade of experience in sales, including high-end pharmaceuticals. He knows how to work with people, and has invaluable technical experience earned from a lifetime of work with and around Subaru vehicles. If you are looking for a Subaru in Boulder, go see Xavier at Flatirons for a professional experience where you might walk out of there with a Subaru, but you will certainly be walking out with a sense of dignity and control.
