What users are saying:
horrible experience - twice
by cafeserendipity at Citysearch
We stayed on two occasions thinking we would give it another chance, however the second time around was the same experience - rude staff and the owner obviously does not know about customer service, so it's no wonder we were the only guests on both occassions...the rooms are dark, smell and the whole place looks like a scene out of "Psycho" - odd pictures on the walls - dirty....and very rude...would not recommend and will never visit again.....honestly they should be closed or reported.
- Pros: mountains
- Cons: dirty, scary, rude, smelly
A well-priced mountain motel only minutes from downtown Boulder.

The Scene
Boulder Mountain Lodge is full of surprises. Its low prices might imply it's just another cookie-cutter motel. But the rustic-looking lodge is actually a series of motel rooms that open onto a common porch overlooking a small creek. The cabin-like structures leave guests nostalgic for summer camp.
The Details
There are no bunk beds or mosquito nets here. The rooms, though not luxurious, are clean and comfortable, ranging from basic motel types to suites with full kitchens. Pitching a tent or hooking up an RV are also options. All guests have access to the outdoor hot tub overlooking the stream. This is the perfect place to send less adventurous out-of-town guests who still want to spend some time in the great Colorado outdoors.
Great value

A campgroud of sorts with a great setting, very clean rooms and a friendly staff. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite with a kitchen and living room. The price for being so close and yet remote from Boulder is a great deal...and once a customer you get a discount on future stays.
- Pros: value, clean, setting
- Cons: 1 bathroom in a 2 bedroom suite
