I have a complaint to make and that make me really sad. Tonight Friday July 18th 2008, I went to meet a group of friends at your hotel and one of your employee ask me to leave. I believe Friday you have music playing and people drinking and dancing. I have been to your hotel many many time. Dined at the restaurant and had drinks at the bar many time. Always on Fridays and specially in summer time I see kids around having fun with their parents. So today I have with 2 kids with me I didnt even think twice and took them with me. I drove all the way from donwtown Denver to your hotel to meet my friends and had to leave as soon as I arrived. Your employee told me I could not have my kids there because the hotel only allows from 18yo up. My kids were 5 and 2. I saw many kids there with their parents having fun and why I had to leave? oh because I am not a guest at the hotel (no sense) I f kids are not allowed at the party, kids are not allowed at the party. It doesnt matter. Just because they are paying room service?!
I will tell everyone that I know not just in person but also online to NEVER go there because of poor customer service. POOOR customer service.
Not as advertised, but nice

Just called again regarding an advertised service- Hoping they'll honor their previous offer... Overall a nice place, but my wife did not get what she went for...
- Pros: Nice Place, Pleasant
- Cons: Prices, Available Services
Bathrooms are decadent!
by cooktolose
Great place to stay and indulge yourself. The bathrooms are excellent, great bath tub to soak in and seperate shower. They supply bath salts and bubble bath, all in mint scent. Very relaxing. The rooms themselves are great too. Very comfy beds and excellent TV's.
Happy hour is a great deal. Can't beat sipping on $3.50 martinis looking at the view of the mountains. They generally have live music too.
Or if you prefer hop on one of the bikes they have available and tour the town.
- Pros: location, happy hour specials, bathrooms
- Cons: price
Best Hotel in Boulder (and beyond)
by merivel
My husband and I stayed here on our wedding night and could have not have been more pleased with our room and the service we received. We were greeted promptly at the front entrance where they immeadiately put our bags on a trolley. When we checked in, since one of the best rooms was unoccupied (a gorgeous sw corner suite), they upgraded us without hesitation.
Granted, this was not their typical room, but it was absolutely the best hotel this globetrotter has ever stayed in! We had a large and comfortable living room with a flatscreen tv and a balcony looking out over Eben G. Fine Park and the Flatirons. We had another balcony with the same view in the bedroom. The four-poster king bed was so comfortable I didn't want to check-out the next morning. Also, I could see the Flatirons perfectly framed in a window at the foot of the bed. And the bathroom! Beautiful marble everywhere with a double size bathtub with a separate shower with a great showerhead (I'm very picky about showerheads) and plenty of hot water. And the whole suite was immaculate. For out-of-towners the location is unbeatable as you are right in the heart of Boulder and can enjoy the Pearl Street Mall with all it's restaurants, galleries and shopping, or go for a hike, all without the need to get in your car.
PS. I book all the travel for my office and whenever we have clients coming from out of town I try and put them up at the St. Julian! No better way to impress!
- Pros: super comfy beds, location, wonderful staff
- Cons: not a one!
brings a bit of international class to boulder
by mpackard

Great hotel!

We stayed here for 8 nights in July and loved it! We used the pool, jacuzzi, spa and restaurant and we were happy with everything. I wish I had the time to use the spa more--it was very tranquil. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They really helped make our stay there wonderful. The room was clean and comfortable. They have valet parking, which we used because it seemed simpler (the parking in Boulder is pretty scarce). The valet told us it cost $15 per night, but nothing ever showed up on our bill, so I'm not sure how that works. We were traveling with a 6 year old and she liked it too. We were afraid that the pool wasn't really for kids, but she enjoyed it. She also thought the jacuzzi was cool. The location of this hotel is perfect if you want to be able to walk to restaurants and other things to do in downtown Boulder.
- Pros: Relaxing, friendly, conveniently located and clean
- Cons: Expensive, but you get what you pay for.
